For over twenty years, Kk has faciliatated group learning in many settings: community non-profits, expressive movement, parent and educator training, early education, ritual spaces & group therapy. They bring play, embodiment, and deep care to their facilitation.
Their focus is offering pleasure, belonging, and decolonized healing spaces to all humans, especially those within their LGBTQAI+ community. Kk is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in WA, offering therapy to individuals, groups, & partnerships since 2018
Education & Training
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington. I hold a Masters of Early Education from Loyola of Maryland and a Masters of Arts In Couple and Family Therapy from Seattle University. I chose these programs because of my strong belief in relationships, social change, and radical care.
I am trained in EFCT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Psychodrama, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). I use EFCT in my work with partnerships and EMDR with people wanting to overcome past hurts and process trauma. IFS and Psychodrama inform all my work, especially groups. I continue to train in these modalities because I value somatic healing, a base in attachment theory, and a focus on the here and now in therapy.
I have worked with children and families for the past decade as a coach, educator, and head of school. As a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer and Montessori trained teacher, I offer compassion and solutions to families of all types.
