Resting on the land, melt into melody! We invite you to gather and savor the fullness of summer together. To notice, without effort, the time before harvest. You already know how to do this, everyone has the experience of receiving summer. Perhaps it’s feeling the light, touching the water, tasting a berry, smelling the flowers.
Join us in Seward park, bring your favorite outdoor blanket or chair to rest or nap while a harp plays and chimes wander around you. When you awaken the invitation will be to wake up your mouth, with facial exercises and delicious tastes and textures. As is our custom, Kk’s mom will provide the perfect tea (iced) for the occasion. This gathering is all ages. Savoring is for everyone.
Timing: Sunday Sept 8, 4-7pm
Where: Seward Park, exact location given after registration
Investment: Sliding scale $20-$60, Free for bipoc, NO one turned away for lack of funds. Invitation to bring one edible item to share, perhaps a box of berries, a stinky cheese, or a bar of your favorite chocolate.
Bodies speak through the language of the senses. By listening to our senses we become better stewards and advocates for the needs and desires of our bodies. Each week, in this six week series, we will hold practice space for giving and receiving touch, getting to know your embodied yes and no, and negotiating touch with others. Drawn from the lineages of Wheel of Consent, Somatic Sex Education, and partner dancing. We will center sensual exploration.
What is held practice space?
Greta and Kk will lead warm up exercises, there will be time to practice the skills, and we will wrap up with time to savor and reflect.
This series is an invitational space where the choosing is more important than the doing. This is not a play party, but it’s great practice for a play party and for all of your relationships.
